Transportation & Parking Lot Procedures

Transportation & Parking Lot Procedures

Our Lady of Victory Catholic School families provide their own transportation to and from school.  The school's system for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up ensures the safest procedures for our students.

The safety of our school community is of primary importance.  Please drive slowly and follow the instructions of the staff and directions in these guidelines.  Please cooperate with them at all times.

We ask that all drivers always maintain a very minimal speed (no more than 5 MPH) when driving on the parish/school property.  Students feel that this is a "safe space" and do not watch out for moving vehicles as they should.

Animals of any type are not permitted outside of cars.

Students should arrive at school between 7:45 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. and report directly to their classrooms.  No student will be permitted to enter the building before 7:45 a.m.  Parents should NOT exit their cars nor will they be allowed to walk their child in during COVID.

PreK - 2nd grade students will be dropped off at the stop sign by the front of the church.  Student temperatures will be taken at the car and staff will confirm that the Wellness Check has been completed before being allowed to leave.

3rd - 8th grade students will be dropped off near the rectory driveway at a check-in station.  Parents of 3-8 students will be diverted to the right when entering the parking lot and proceed to the check-in location.  Students temperatures will be taken at the car and staff will confirm that the Wellness Survey has been completed before allowed to leave.  (Parents with siblings in upper and lower grades should proceed to the lower grade check-in point.)

Pre-K students will be picked up at 2:45 in front of the church where the stop sign is.  If a PreK parent has an older sibling, they should park in the rows of cars, walk and pick-up their child, then return to the car waiting for the other sibling.

Parents picking up students in K-8 will be directed to park in the parking lot.  Cars will be parked facing the same direction in a single file line until that row is full.  The next row will start immediately next to the 1st row.

No cars will be allowed to leave until ALL students are in their cars.  The rows will be dismissed by a staff member in the order they were parked starting with the closest to the church first.  These procedures have been put in place to increase the safety of our students.

The school playground will be closed before and after school until further notice.
